That it is. M-x set-keyboard-coding-system RET utf-8 RET will fix it in
21.5, the beta version but unfortunately this is still broken in 21.4, and
I’m not aware of any plans to integrate the fixes into 21.4 :-( . If anyone
is, now would be a good time to contribute the info.
Thanks for the info. The page I refered to didn't mention that it only
worked in release 21.5.
If anyone is in doubt, I would really appreciate this fix to be part
of 21.4-branch, If anyone could give a hint of where the fix is in
21.5, I wouldn't mind give it a try myself, I am a proficient
C-programmer and a reasonable elisp-hacker.
