It's a sad story, but there is always hope in the end. Several times I have
become frustrated with the state of the font (and UTF) support in the current
XEmacs. And several times I have wandered over to the other Emacs to seek
refuge from the pangs of frustration. Each time I have done so, I have then
attempted to make that Emacs as powerful as XEmacs with it's package support.
And each time, I have realzed how superior XEmacs is in this regard. And
thus I return to where I obviously belong.
OK, so I can set the facese using edit-faces afater I start a session.
Unfortunately, these changes don't seem to persist between sessions. Since
the nature of what I do often entails restarting XEmacs, or running it on
different macines, it is very inconvenient to go through such a ritual every
time I start the program. The alternative of leaving the fonts as default is
unsatisfactory for my aging eyes.
Is there a way to persist these changes across sessions?
Oh, and to be clear: 'current XEmacs' means built within the last week.
