I helped out in getting 11.84 to build in the package tree. Whether
it is the right thing to distribute is not up to me. I don't even
use auctex my self.
That is a understatement, without your help it would have been
impossible. I am using auctex 11.84 on a daily base and have not found
any problem.
I got the impression though that there is some problem with a
conflicting package that is stopping the merge at the moment. I'm
not up to date with that issue. Hopefully Uwe can fill in the
details.
I do remember that you talked about a problem with info for auctex, but
I did not.
So I propose we move 11.84 (1.51) from pre to official.
Any objections?
