crypt (or tar) breakage?
One of the coolest features of xemacs seems to be broken as of
21.2b10.
I have (require 'crypt)
If I visit a .tar.gz, it should not only ungzip, but will put me in tar
mode. That doesn't work anymore. Instead I get

=i has size -59888002 - corrupted.
