Sorry for the omission. I was trying to install the current
version 21.1.14. Any other details you need? I am now actually trying to
install binaries using the XEmacs setup utility-- but am still downloading
the files, so the outcome is still unknown. This is probably what most
people do, rather than building from source files, but it was not at all
obvious to me from visiting the
Xemacs.org web page that this was an
available option. The installation instructions that are readily available
at the first pages on the web site all address downloading source and
building from source, both for native-mode windows installs and cygwin
installs. I also couldn't find any reference to this utility in the Faq
pages. It wasn't until someone else told me that they had used a setup
utility similar to the Cygwin setup utility that I found the setup.exe on
the ftp site.
