No such functionality. I think the name is unintuitive, and I'm
unclear on how useful it would be to most users (eg, in your example
I'm perfectly happy with using M-m, C-e, or M-< as appropriate). I
admit I use similar functionality occasionally when editing headers in
message-mode, but I doubt I'd have trouble adjusting to C-e M-b.
That said, I have no objection to adding it in packages (maybe in
edit-utils somewhere?) I would like to discuss the name, however. I
would prefer something like `make-command-sequence' or even (with
extended functionality to actually define a command)
`defun-command-sequence'.
Comments (especially on "where to add" and "command name"), please!
