And I'm sorry for the thread OT hijack, but seeing IA-64 and XEmacs in
the subject rang a bell: the Red Hat / Fedora XEmacs packages carry
around a IA-64 specific patch (see attachment).
It's still also in the Fedora Extras packages, and I've no way of even
checking if XEmacs crashes without it applied on IA-64, so if someone's
interested in finding out, comments welcome. More info and discussion
