Ah, here's a thought:
How do you install locally built packages?
I have this in custom-set-variables:
'(package-get-download-sites '(("Adrian's CVS Packages local to
D5DC120J" nil "~/el/xemacs-packages")
("XEmacs CVS Packages local to D5DC120J" nil
"c:\\Hacking\\cvs.xemacs.org\\XEmacs\\xemacs-packages")
("Pre-Releases" "ftp.xemacs.org"
"pub/xemacs/beta/experimental/packages")
("xemacs.org" "ftp.xemacs.org" "pub/xemacs/packages")
...))
Then I install with
XEmacs >= 21.4
Tools->Packages->Add Download Site->XEmacs CVS Packages local to D5DC120J
Tools->Packages->List & Install
This way my package-get-base does get updated!
Are you doing it similarly?
Best regards,
Adrian
