I've been seeing this for some time, and it's been extremely annoying.
The infinite loop is a Gnus bug, or a filladapt bug triggered by Gnus
(but it used to work!)
However, the misfunctioning of C-g is an XEmacs bug under Cygwin. On
Linux, C-g is able to interrupt the loop.
