I was browsing +inbox with Mew. XEmacs suddenly stopped accepting
the key stroke and dumped core. The message displayed from XEmacs
in the console seems to suggest it tried to handle charset koi8-r
just before dumping core.
koi8 decoding has always been crash-prone in XEmacs/Mule. It was
supposed to be completely New And Improved(TM) and fixed as of a few
versions ago, but that appears not to be the case.
I don't think my windowing system (OpenWindoes that is bundled
with
Solaris 2.6, running in ja locale) is capable of displaying this
charset.
It shouldn't matter and this crash wasn't in redisplay.

This is promising in a way. It is choking while attempting to display
someone's netscape vcard. Hopefully that means it is reproducible.
Please forward a copy of the message from Victor Samsonov to Moriokasan
so he can have a look at it.
