This is basically correct.
However, we have provided for a version-specific packages hierarchy so
that potentially, version-dependent packages can have a home.
Currently, we have none.
Unfortunately, we have---because of the read-time macro
fuckage---architecture-specific packages. There's no provision for
those, and I'd like to keep it that way.
