Whenever I try to use C-x C-w (to rename a file) I get the following
error, which I simply can't figure out? I can issue a C-x C-s
afterwards and the file will get written, but this is strange behavior
and causes problems, e.g. "list and install" breaks as it calls
write-file at some point.
