(1) - the FIND/search function to be active. When the user selects find,
he/she is unable to type the word he/she is looking for.
This function was sctive in version 21.1.19
I don't understand what you mean by this. What does 'selects find'
mean? How does XEmacs respond? There is no version 21.1.19, BTW.
(2) - block delete using the keyboard [delete] or [backspace] keys.
You need the pc package.
(turn-on-pending-delete)
should do what you want once you have that package installed.
