OK. Lets start again then...
This is what the script produces today on the latest pulled beta
version. All files marked with a question mark isn't diagnosed yet and
needs to be inspected manually. Some of these might be possible to
move away due to their file type, e.g., a type that isn't possible to
copyright.
The files are tagged like this:
gplv2 -- GPLv2 or later found in file
lgplv2 -- LGPLv2 or later found in file
no(C) -- File type is not a candidate to copyright
* -- Needs to be fixed (No file is marked with this yet.)
? -- Unknown
I suggest that the first step in this process is to go through the
list and try to find out what category each file belongs to. There
might still be file types that can be taken care of by their extension
or file type. For the rest I guess it is hard manual work that lies
ahead.
Equipped with that information we then have to solve the files marked
with * in some way or the other.
I haven't thought yet about how to book keep and publish any
intermediate results while we go along but I guess it is safe to
postpone this until I get some feedback! ;-) Feel free to look through
the files with me.
The script can be found in xemacs-builds/matsl/gplv3.
