People keeping talking about SLIME ... do we have a package yet?
Doesn't look like it. Would you be interested in being the maintainer
of an XEmacs package? (We had a volunteer before but he seems to have
disappeared ... of course we'll have to check up on that.)
Creating the package we would help with (it's rarely much work). Most
package infrastructure maintenance is done by XEmacs core developers
(unless the internal structure of the package changes). The admin
work of creating and distributing the pre-built packages is done by
the XEmacs package release engineer (currently Norbert Koch).
What we'd need you to do is (1) watch the SLIME channels and funnel
XEmacs bugs to us (2) watch xemacs-beta and funnel SLIME bugs to the
SLIME project (3) update the XEmacs package sources in our CVS
repository when new releases or major bug fixes occur.
If you'd be interested in doing that, get in touch with Norbert Koch
<viteno(a)xemacs.org>.
