I believe the blank gtk widgets was a problem before Ben's merge. I
will have to double check, but I have, oh, I think it is 21.5.4 or 3
at work and I get the blank tabs there too. It's been a couple weeks
since I tried it so it's fuzzy.

that's been my trouble... i've been remodeling the house for the last
