Yes datadir is set to /usr/share. I guess that is why I don't see the
problem in my in my own builds when I switch between mule and
no-mule.
The error is in the gentoo ebuild which sets these things for the
install. I haven't looked into how these variables like datadir works
for us so I'll have to do that. Thanks for spotting this. Now I have
something to go on.
