Isn't that what's already done with button 2 and 3 ? Okay, you mean a
pressable look ? Letting only some parts of the modeline to have a pressed
look can't be achieved right now. Not until we have a bevel extent
property[1]. I'm not sure it would look so good. Better not turn the modeline
into a collection of buttons. The way it is now (different cursor shapes) is
satisfactory for me.
