I forgot to mention that I *did* a CVS update before trying that.
Does the file
/usr/src/packages/BUILD/xemacs-21.5.28/lisp/mule/mule-coding.el
contain that function? It does for me when I check out the tree. But then I
have occasionally had weirdnesses with that CVS server too.
(cvs up -A).
Still doesn't build.
