probably get it from GNU (pre GPLv3), anyway. In XEmacs 21.5
it's
quite simple to add character sets, and not too hard to add coding
systems, based on Unicode Consortium standard format character set
listings.
Oh. I try to avoid 21.5, since 21.4 works for me in every respect
except Unicode (and that mostly works), whereas there have been some
niggles using 21.5.
Also, though I've only looked cursorily at the Unicode stuff in 21.5,
my cursory look suggested it was rather, um, baroque.
Big5 can't be handled that way because there is no GR, GL, or G2
in
Big5. In fact Big5 uses octets in the C1 range. This means that
Ah. That is a bit of a killer. So does GBK, though I've only just
realized that. Oh well.
