There is generic FFI support in the xemacs-ffi branch on alioth,
contributed by Steve Youngs of SXEmacs, based on the SXEmacs FFI
support (ported to XEmacs 21.5).
Since it's basically independent of everything else, it should be
fairly easy to merge that branch into the mainline.
