I haven't been able to get automatic package update to ftp the packages from
xemacs.org, but I can in the X11 version from the same machine and using
efs. Is there some difference in the way carbonized XEmacs communicates
with ftp? I get the "SITE IDLE not understood error."
What packages are you having trouble with? The packages that I use

 			cc-mode
 			calendar
 			debug
 			dired
 			ediff
 			edit-utils

 			psgml
 			xemacs-base
 			xemacs-devel
From time to time I find problems with package code that makes
incorrect assumptions about GUI issues. For example accessing
non-existent menus and other missing UI elements not present on a raw
TTY system. Are your issues similar?
Yes, I have a few packages that want there to be menubars. One is
recentfiles; another is menubar.
I also note, as the macintosh/PROBLEMS file says, the keyboard response is
slow compared to earlier versions and the terminal version. Repeat seems to
be the main problem.
