Because the name cannot be determined by configure. The Athena3d
options avoid some kludge code only applicable to ugly old Athena.
The easiest way to deal with a 3d Athena widget set is to install it
over ugly old Athena. If for some reason you cannot do this, I
believe an appropriate combination of --site-libraries and
--site-runtime-libraries can force configure to use your version.
