In general, that will cause complaints about CVS whining about missing
directories. Dunno if it's worth really deleting the old dirs or if
"cvs rm" would be enough.
But some more important points:
We currently have a designated maintainer for the current "games"
package, Glynn Clements (see MAINTAINERS). Please don't rush to do
anything without contacting him first. Also, read on.
What about PUI? It would not automagically remove the old packages
AFAICT. So, the old packages will hang around people's systems with the
autoload cookies etc, which version of the files in the packages shadows
which?
In general, I believe that instead of combining modes into larger
packages, the opposite (fine granularity) is the way to go. The only
obstacle to this is that PUI doesn't currently scale well to displaying
lots of packages. There are some thoughts in the archives, see for
