But I never requested it.
Mule-UCS requests it, because otherwise there’s no way for it to know about
the Euro sign from the beginning, and because reworking it to take account
of new character sets added to the running XEmacs as they are loaded would
involve much more debugging of nested macros and undocumented CCL programs
than I had time or stomach for.
