CGW> Hi John - (et al)
Hey, Charles, hope all is well... Blue Sky has changed a lot over the last
year or so (more than doubled in size, moved to White Plains, and setting
up a render farm of 512 Compaq DS10[L] Alphas)... anyway...
CGW> Basically, it failed to fail for me. I took your exact configure

CGW> Maybe your system is just hosed in some other way?
CGW>
CGW> Or maybe there's a significiant difference between our setups. You

CGW>
CGW> My system looks like this:
CGW>
CGW> sgi:xemacs-21.2$ uname -a
CGW> IRIX64 sgi 6.5 07151432 IP27
CGW> sgi:xemacs-21.2$ cc -version
CGW> MIPSpro Compilers: Version 7.2.1
CGW>
CGW> How does that stack up to yours?
oops... I omitted the small but important detail that I'm using
gcc 2.95.2 to build. Now it does use the SGI linker, and our version of
the compilers is 7.3.1.1m.
It's my build of gcc, and I've been using it for a long time and I know it
hasn't changed, but I still need to find out whether the systems folks have
applied any OS or SGI compiler patches behind my back...
