Object printing broken

After the latest round of patches gdb now SEGV's on me if I try and print out lisp objects - e.g. doing ldp when I have loaded .gdbinit. I have no idea what the cause might be, but it worked fairly recently and its pretty annoying when you are trying to debug stuff.
