But wouldn't this be likely to attract, um, `unwelcome'
contributions. (Hey kidz, here's an FTP server that allows
anonymous uploadz!) Stephen's suggestion about automatically
diverting large messages to a -large list seems to me to be a good
one. Of course like all good suggestions the problem is that you have
to get somebody to implement it.
Certainly we all have our own standards and it's good to be
considerate of those on slow links, but to me 600 lines of text just
isn't that large. Hey, if we go on discussing this a little longer,
the traffic dealing with this issue will exceed the 600 lines that
John was reticent to post in the first place! I'm trying to do my
share to increase the line count, but I think I've run out of things
to say.
