I can't seem to get the line and column numbers to show up in

version of xemacs. This is a new install (not an upgrade) from yum
in a fairly recently installed Fedora 6.
I see this in one locally hacked version of XEmacs 21.5.27 on Gentoo
Linux with an Opteron processor:
XEmacs 21.5 (beta27) "fiddleheads" (+CVS-20070324) [Lucid]
(x86_64-unknown-linux, Mule) of Mon Mar 26 2007 on uwakimon
but not in current CVS on Mac OS X. I'll try a vanilla build on the
Opteron box later, but for now all I can do is suggest building from
current CVS code.
-fexceptions -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -m32
Hm. I was thinking that maybe it's 64-bit issue, but you're using the
32-bit environment here.
