Please use dired-report-bug to format (and, if your XEmacs is
configured to send mail, send) a bug report to the Dired maintainer.
I really should have tried C-h a dired.*bug RET first. My bad.
In order to find a maintainer address I was in fact looking for dired
documentation first. To my surprise, there are no info files in the
XEmacs package! How comes?
