You *must* disable error-checking for the results to be at all
meaningful, unless (as I did) you simply want to post a "worst-case I
can think of" result. (In my case I had Mule, full error checking,
and a slow---by today's standards---heavily-loaded machine, and I
still wasn't seeing Hrvoje's "minutes".)
Speed losses due to error-checking are not considered at all when we
add more error checking, so they can vary wildly across versions, and
generally will become worse and worse over time.
