This looks like an EFS issue. Does Mandrake default to using a
kerberos FTP client? If so, try:
(setq efs-ftp-program-name "/usr/bin/ftp")
If that doesn't work, please do:
'M-x efs-report-bug RET'
You may need to 'M-x load-library RET efs RET' first.
