I customize this to use black-on-wheat tabs:
'(buffers-tab ((t (:foreground "black" :background "wheat"))) t)
But in the .gif I sent, showing the customize buffer in which that
selection was made, you can also see that the tab for the customize
buffer itself is still black-on-white.
