For me it behaves as expected, and notes "No differences to ... since

version".
That's what I always tell my software tester, too :D

You didn't read the last mail about it, did you ?
If 21.4.x, did you remove auto-autoloads.elc from the directory you
installed the new vc to
(after "make install"), see

Ok, I didn't read your README, so we're even ;)
But even after deleting this file, the symptoms did not change...
Maybe you could send me some patch to find out more of the cvs behaviour
... ?
