Well, that's a good sign then. I happily accept that it's probably
just me! I thought it was suspicious that it only started after
upgrading XEmacs to 21.5.10 and not really changing anything else.
Just to followup with additional info....
I dropped back to 21.4.12, and all of these problems disappeared.
21.5.10 seems to be doing something strange with windows. Another
example of this is ECB. When I fire up ECB (1.80, the latest XEmacs
package) under 21.5.10 with -vanilla, I get this complaint immediately
in the minibuffer:
Only an edit-window can be deleted!
It works fine with 21.4.12.
Maybe an API changed somewhere and packages need to be updated, or
maybe there's really a bug, I'm not sure. Or there may be something
fishy on my end, I would never rule that out....
