So everybody agrees that on Xemacs No-Mule file-coding should be yes?!
If so
- I send a request to the Debian manager and
- could then somebody fix the configure option for feature
releases?

In answer to your question, no, I'm not yet sure that the default
configure option should be changed for 21.4. I'm fine with changing
the 21.5 default, however.
