Hi !
Jan Vronhof answered my question about the boot-logo (which says BETA
on NT) already, the remaining question is when this will be fixed.
Michael Sperber confirmed that several people have a working efs.
However, for me efs simply hangs. I can neither connect to any
xemacs-ftp-server/mirror nor to the local ftp-server (using ftp.exe
from NT in cmd.exe works). It seems that the connect is made and then
efs waits for somethings that it never gets. Has anybody any idea what
is going on ?
The third question is related to fakemail. Reading the NT-mailing-list
archive, it seems to me that with cygwin it is possible to build a
version of fakemail. This at least does not happen per default with
the native build. I found the smtpmail.el-solution in the archives,
however this solution should at least be mentioned in the README or
PROBLEMS-file for NT. As mail with the "normal" (i.e. feedmail)-way
does not work, I consider this a documentation bug.
I also found no documentation (besides the XEmacs-on-Windows-FAQ) on
compiling with cygwin - shouldn't info on this at least be added to
the installation file (which is IMHO totally misnamed as README) ?
