waiting eagerly, but that's where we are). I'll let you know if a

Since the Windows native build doesn't use configure,
You know, we could generate config.inc using configure from a
supported platform, I bet. Food for thought, anyway.
No promises when I can get this completed. After I get this one
working, I should really upgrade to new Visual Studio tools (or
mingw64) and W7, targeting a 32-bit runtime environment. But those
are longer-term goals.
Note that the next release of VS will have a new ABI which Microsoft
promises will be "forever".
According to the Python guys, mingw64 does not do a great job of
targeting 32bit-land. I can dig up the threads and check for details,
but be aware there's a warning on that.
