It goes like this: sometimes when I run erc-server-select, instead
of
connecting, it shows in the minibuffer a message like this: "Wrong type
argument: natnump, -2410080708790921301". The number sometimes changes
(and on 32-bit computers the number is generally smaller). If I re-run
erc-server-select a few times then eventually it works.
It would be very helpful if you would do
M-: (set debug-on-error t) RET
then elicit the bug and send us the resulting backtrace.
Sometimes use of the debugger makes XEmacs a little unstable; *always*
be sure to quit out of the *Backtrace* buffer using "q" before doing
further work.
Our main connection to the ERC community is Adrian Aichner, who is
alive:-) but has been unable to be very active recently. :-( If you
don't see a useful reply within a week to ten days, please ping the
list again, and either we'll bother Adrian or somebody else will take
a closer look.
