I'll ask him. When cutting text though, you need a mark and a point. If I
left click to place point how is the region defined without mousing?
Well, this isn't something I've worked on so I wasn't sure, but
`x-mouse-kill's docstring says "point and mouse", and doesn't mention
mark or region at all. I thought it was worth a try, but it won't
work. It turns out that you can't usefully call that from M-x, it
wants to be bound to a mouse event.
