I added a function variable to do user-definable sorting, but left it
nil by default. It sounds like this is not what needs done though?
It will only get called when Andy's code syncs to the buffer list
anyway (that's the default when (eq buffers-tab-sort-function nil)).
Unless Andy's changed that code since I last looked at it....

(buffers-tab-items): Funcall it to sort the buffer tab list.
This should be in (Didier applied it). I don't have a current 21.2
xemacs available to test with (just made clean, building is slow
here...).
