I am running Xemacs-21-4-9 ( \i586-pc-win32\ ) on Windows NT 4.0. If I select a file "LongFileName.vhd", then right-click and do Send-To -> Xemacs, then: 1. Xemacs starts and opens the file "correctly" (i.e., the file is not corrupted in any way). 2. Xemacs converts the file name to the 8 character prefix MS-DOS format "LongFi~1.vhd". 3. If I save any changes to the file, the file is stored as : "LongFi~1.vhd" I find this a bit annoying, and hope the problem can be fixed in some soon-to-come Xemacs releases for Windows. (Actually, if there is a "LongDirectoryName" in the path to the file I want to edit, in the Xemacs title bar also this directory name is shortened to the 8-character format.
