In a former life I did this for postscript and ghostscript, i.e. ran
ghostscript so that it displayed in an XEmacs buffer. It worked quite well,
but I completely failed to get the required ghostscript patch accepted -
PLD didn't like my patch, commited his own version which didn't work and
then completely refused to answer any more e-mail. So I just gave up. This
stuff could be made to work again now that subwindow support works.
