I'll have to look closely at the patch, but it's really too late for
large patches at this point. I want to get _something_ out relatively
soon and have a short cycle on 21.1 where we get a bugfix release out
in short order.

start this weekend. The simple solution would be only to fix the display/atom
stuff (small change) or do the whole thing.
How does this fit into the XEmacs 21.0 release schedule?
It doesn't, unless you wish to push 21.0 back into August or
September. I don't. This release has been delayed long enough (IMO).
