expectations of your window manager. ISTR that
freedesktop.org has
published a bunch of new protocols for window managers, which XEmacs
doesn't participate in.

That's OK. I was just wondering whether I'm missing something. It's been
at least 10-15 years since I last used gnuclient to do something similar,
and that was on twm when Tom LaStrange briefly worked for us at HP. :)
I can't believe that the crock of shite I mis-named gnuclient when I
'improved' emacsclient all those years ago is still being used in any shape
or form. It was my first ever Unix networking program, and it sucked
royally:)
