Or set '(toolbar-visible-p nil) in your custom.el and never be bothered with
it in the future...
Yes, I know I can do that, but that just works around the problem. But
maybe the intersection of people who have slow links and who use
toolbars is zero. :-)
This works fine for what I want, though.
Ray, who used to run xemacs 19 on a 9600 baud line (X compression
enabled may have been enabled) way back when and it worked quite well if
the scrollbar and toolbar was turned off. :-)
