my crash, the ultimate cause.

I got my crash again this morning. But this time, I've beaten it. XEmacs was compiled with headers from /usr/X11 (-> /usr/X11R6) and linked with libraries from /usr/openwin. It's possible that I've missed the exact time where the problem appeared because I've used config.status directly sometimes after a cvs update. This weird configuration is due to my using a personnal version of autoconf with a set of patches that will go into autoconf 3 only.
