If you want to get to the bottom of this, install the src RPM and
compare that to the xemacs-21.1.12 tarball.

That's why I mentioned that I was presently using XKBoard, which seems
to be the standard.
It's the default even in 3.3.6 of XFree86.
This in my mind, means that this problem isn't going to go away, and
that there should be a solution for it. Now is as good as any.
The thing that bugs me most about this, is that with the Mandrake RPM
install this is not an issue. With the compile from source it is. What
changed?
