Erm, this is Red Hat's lossage. Have you asked them?
At a guess, try upgrading the LDAP libs.
Alternatively, download the source to 21.4.9 and build it. You'll
probably need to get a bunch of -devel RPMs, but you'll also get a
much better version of XEmacs. There are also versions of XEmacs
built for RH8.0, IIRC, in RPM form. Search the archives of this
mailing list. However, odds are pretty good that you'll run into the
same problem with Ville's RPMs if the problem is (as I think) that
your LDAP libs are too old.
