Have you asked them? At a guess, try upgrading the LDAP libs. Alternatively, download the source to 21.4.9 and build it. You'll probably need to get a bunch of -devel RPMs, but you'll also get a much better version of XEmacs. There are also versions of XEmacs built for RH8.0, IIRC, in RPM form. Search the archives of this mailing list.
