I've installed XEmacs on my Windows XP platform but when I go to
save the init.el or custom.el files, it cannot do that because the
operating system no longer allows folders with a dot as the first
character. Is there a workaround such that I can save these files
in another directory name?
I've seen no such problem. Can you provide a few more details about
what versions you have and what is going wrong. A quick guess is: do
you have HOME set to something writeable?
